2018 Results

A total of 707 runners competed on Sunday at the 36th Mid-Winter 10 Mile Classic.

Chris Harmon, 30, of Portland successfully defended his title and Gabrielle Wheeler, 32, of New Sweden won the women’s division. Harmon finished in 53 minutes, 14 seconds — only 7 seconds ahead of runner-up Erik McCarthy, 36, of Old Town (53:21). Judson Cake, 40, of Bar Harbor (and the 2015 champion) was the first master’s runner and placed third over all in a course record 54:55. Wheeler’s time of 1:01:38 was good enough for a 2 minute margin over Jessica Van Binsbergen, 33, of Portland (1:04:38). Christine Hein, 42, of North Yarmouth placed third and was the first female master (1:04:57).
