2022 Results

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic and the surge in the Omicron variant, we had to cancel the in-person running of the race on February 6, 2022.

This was a difficult decision to make and was reached in part due to the record surge in coronavirus cases, the expected peak in cases for the Omicron variant a week or two before race day, the unpredictability of the weather and our inability to safely provide race services completely outdoors, and the lack of hospital beds available in our area in the case anybody gets injured at the race.

We still held the virtual #MWCinTheWild version of the race, and completion of the virtual race still scored points in the Maine Track Club Grand Prix Race Series, counting towards earning a race jacket for completing at least 1 event in each of the races in the series in 2022.
